In 2021 Melbourne born, University of New England Educated smooth jazz recording artist Evan Carydakis released the soulful and rhythmic EP, ‘Groove House’.

Groove House’ was the start of a new conversation that continued with Evans’ 2022 single ‘Movin On’ which reached #42 on the Radio Wave Top 100 Album Chart and #54 on the Smooth Jazz Top 100 Album Chart confirming Evan as a bona fide TOP 50 Smooth Jazz Artist world-wide.

Celebrated Chicago music journalist Jonathon Widran corroborated Evans’ rise to the top as “having laid an incredible foundation in the genre and set to become a major force in smooth jazz in the coming years!”

And that time is now, with ‘Cherry Pops’ Evans new 2023 release promising to deliver on Widrans’ prediction. ‘Cherry Pops’ is produced by Emmy nominated pianist, film composer and producer Michael Whittaker, featuring Adam McPhail on Guitar and Petar Janjic on Drums.

This single celebrates the life of ‘Cherry’ Evan’s adored Australian Kelpie who recently passed from canine lymphoma. “Cherry was simply the love of my life, who looked lymphoma in the eye for thirteen consecutive months. Cherry never took a backwards step, she always lived her life to the full, remaining joyful at all times, ever faithful, loving, and without fear or favour - One hell of a girl and a role model to her human dad!”
