Groove House’ was the start of a new conversation that continued with Evans’ 2022 single ‘Movin On’ which reached #42 on the Radio Wave Top 100 Album Chart and #54 on the Smooth Jazz Top 100 Album Chart confirming Evan as a bona fide TOP 50 Smooth Jazz Artist world-wide.

Celebrated Chicago music journalist Jonathon Widran corroborated Evans’ rise to the top as “having laid an incredible foundation in the genre and set to become a major force in smooth jazz in the coming years!”

After the debut with the first album “Words Don´t speak”, the second album “Not for ordinary people” is a small miracle and realizes 3 months of stay in the prestigious UK Soul Chart. The consecration takes place with the third album “Dress Code” recorded in 2015, licensed by Azzurra Music label and distributed in USA by the partner Timkatent Ent. and in Japan by P-Vine Record.

Dress Code holds the first place in the UK Soul Chart for three weeks in a row, something never done by an Italian band, and it stays for 4 months in the Top 30. In Japan it reaches the 5th place of the iTunes R&B Chart.

The album “Connections” # 4 rotates on the BBC and in all British radio stations. # 5 in the UK Soul Chart. The song “Now” is included in the most prestigious English compilation of Soul music “Luxury Soul”.

Primarily a self-taught musician, it was at the age of eleven that his mom introduced him to the guitar and a love affair with music that has stood the test of time. In his teens, North “2unes” Woodall studied the playing styles of Ernie Isley, Santana, and Joe Walsh, among other R&B, funk, rock, and pop music styles. Hard work, determination, and a natural gift paid off and as a result of his exceptional proficiency with the guitar, he was quickly established with popular groups in and around Dayton, Ohio, such as The Delvones and Round Trip Ticket. North has since relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and was sought to share the stage with funk masters Lakeside, The Ohio Players, Roger Troutman and Zapp, Roy Aires, Millie Jackson, Tom Brown and Will Downing.

Frank Piombo · Luca's Groove

Frank Piombo, Multi Award Winning Contemporary Jazz Guitarist/Composer and International Recording Artist. Member of the Recording Academy. Sound Exchange. BMI, and the International Singer-Songwriters Association. Inducted into the 2020 Indie Music Hall of Fame. Nominated in 2019 and 2020 by the “East Coast Music Hall of Fame.”

Frank Piombo was born 1950, and raised in North Africa, to Italian parents; it’s no wonder that music was a constant in Frank’s life. At the tender age of six, Frank’s family would move to Rome (his mother’s birthplace), where he was inspired by the sounds of his father’s music. An avid accordion player, Frank was moved by the romantic tunes produced by his father, and their effects can be heard in Frank’s music even today.
